Galleria
anna dascanio
was founded in 1975 in Rome in the famous Via del Babuino near Piazza del
Popolo. The main focus of the gallery programme lies on the avantgarde
movements of the first decades of the 20th century and the artistic
movements of the Fifties and Sixties. A considerable attention is also
dedicated to contemporary artists.
The most important events in the last years are a series of 5 group shows
representing 20 young Italian artists and the one-man-shows of Giulio
Turcato, Mario Giacomelli and Spanish artist Juan Hernāndez Pijuan.
Particularly to Giulio Turcato is dedicated intense research work in order
to emphasize in Italy and internationally his role as one of the most
important Italian artists of the second half of the 20th century. With a
series of exhibitions and catalogues focusing on inedited and rare works
the Gallery wants to retrace the fundamental developments of his artistic
career.
With the aim to promote the Italian art in Italy and abroad the gallery
participates continually at the Italian and international art fairs like
Bologna, Basel, Cologne, Frankfort, Madrid, Tokyo.
