Anna D’Ascanio begins her activity as galerist on 25 november 1976 with the show "Roofs of Sicily" ("I Tetti di Sicilia") exhibiting works of Renato Guttuso.

The decision to open a gallery came automatically after the apprenticeship and influence by her uncle - a collector of drawings by Scipione – the friendship with the painter Quaglia and the impact with the works of Renato Guttuso.

Some of the many shows curated are: Edvard Munch, Wassily Kandinsky, Alberto Burri, Giacomo Manzł, Carlo Carrą, Giorgio de Chirico, Afro, Giulio Turcato, etc.
